Races and sports events: Regensburg

In Regensburg the marathon in May is the biggest date: it runs through the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with half, three-quarter and quarter marathons and a Nordic walking event on the same day. Cyclists start here for The Grit in June, a 430 km gravel loop through the Upper Palatinate, and for the Arber Radmarathon into the Bavarian Forest in July.
