Races and sports events: München

Munich combines city races with a short trip to the mountains: the Munich Marathon in October finishes in the Olympic Stadium, and the Olympic Park is a meeting point for runners all year. Paths along the Isar lead upstream towards the Alps, lakes such as the Starnberger See and the Ammersee are popular for open water and triathlon, and mountain and trail races in the Alpine foothills are often only an hour away.
