Races and sports events: Köln

Cologne is a running and cycling city on the Rhine: the Cologne Marathon in October starts in Deutz and crosses the Deutz Bridge into the city centre, and Rund um Köln, one of Germany's oldest bike races, includes amateur rides. The Königsforst and the city forest offer woodland and trail runs, and the hills of the Bergisches Land begin right outside the city.
