Races and sports events: Haltern am See

Haltern am See is a start point for long-distance cycling. In February the ATV Haltern's CTF, part of the Westfalen Winter Bike Trophy, runs from the reservoir into the Haard forest and suits MTBs and gravel bikes. ARA Westfalen starts a 400 km brevet here in spring, setting off in the evening through the Teutoburg Forest and Weser Uplands, and a 600 km brevet in June.
