Races and sports events: Frankfurt am Main

Frankfurt has Germany's oldest city marathon: the Frankfurt Marathon in late October traditionally finishes inside the Festhalle. On 1 May the Eschborn–Frankfurt bike race crosses the Taunus hills, with amateur routes for hobby riders, and Ironman Frankfurt comes to town in summer. For trail runs and mountain biking, the Taunus and the Großer Feldberg are right on the doorstep.
