Races and sports events: Duisburg

Duisburg offers running, triathlon and obstacle races, many of them around the Sportpark Duisburg. The Rhein-Ruhr-Marathon in May finishes in the football arena in the Sportpark, with an inline marathon on the same day, and IRONMAN 70.3 Duisburg in August swims on the regatta course. In the colder months there is the Halloween Run in Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord and ASV Duisburg's winter running series, and in spring comes the Mammutmarsch Ruhrgebiet hike, whose shortest route starts at the Innenhafen.
