Races and sports events: Düsseldorf

In Düsseldorf the Rhine ties everything together: the Düsseldorf Marathon in spring crosses the river several times and runs through the city centre, and the Rhine meadows and riverside promenade are many runners' home route. In the east of the city the Grafenberg and Aap forests offer hilly woodland paths, with the Neandertal and the Bergisches Land just beyond.
